Lillian Preusser Soechting, 89, was born October 19, 1932 to Marvin and Alide Zunker Preusser near York Creek, Comal County, Texas. She went home to the Lord on September 19, 2022 and will be laid to rest beside her husband of 38 years, Henry H. Soechting, in Comal Cemetery.

On October 21, 1949, she married Henry and they had 5 children.  Lillian was active at her children's schools and was a frequent room mother.  She attended First Protestant Church for many years and was active in her church as well as the Eagle's Auxilliary, Hermann Sons, and 4-H.

The third of nine children, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Henry Soechting; her mother and father; siblings Lorine (Milton) Weber, Elinor Peschel (Alvin Seiler), Franklin (Leatrice) Preusser, Hilmar Preusser,  Elsie Preusser, Alexander Preusser, brother-in-law Jerome Schneider; grandson Henry Anthony "Tony" Soechting; and in-laws Henry and Helga Soechting, Jesse (Winifred) Soechting, and Ruby Soechting.

Lillian is survived by her children Diana Haas and husband Ronnie of Tomball, TX, Marsha Soechting and husband Angelo Sermas of College Station, TX, Martha Chailer and husband Jack of Houston, TX, Henry Soechting and wife Frances of New Braunfels, TX, and Robert Soechting and wife Suzanne of Milano, TX. She is also survived by her sister Anna (Mrs. Jerome) Schneider and brother George Preusser and his wife Gloria, along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to First Protestant Church, Hope Hospice of New Braunfels, or to a charity of your choice.

The family wishes to extend thanks to the staff at Elan Westpointe and to Hope Hospice for their care and kindness in taking care of our beloved mother.
