Lois Collett Morris passed away on November 13, 2025, at the age of 98. She was born, along with her twin brother, on a ranch outside of San Angelo, Texas to Hubert Carl Collett and Alpha Fern (Smith) Collett on August 6, 1927, for a doctor's fee of $5. Lois grew up mostly in small West Texas towns getting her first "store bought" dress at the age of 6.

Lois married her high school sweetheart, the late Russel M. Morris on August 28, 1947, in Sheffield, Texas.  Shopping, fashion and dressing up were a top priority along with family, friends and attending the Church of Christ.  She will be remembered fondly every time we enjoy her candied sweet potatoes and cream gravy recipes.  Lois was able to live independently in her own home until the age of 95 and then moved into assisted living. We want to thank all of the caretakers, family and friends who helped and supported Lois in her final years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and five siblings.

Lois is survived by her sons,  Marvin Morris & wife, Peggy of New Braunfels and Charles Morris & wife, Brucille of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren, Steve Morris, Anthony Morris, Margaret Morris Ennis & husband, Mac and Patricia Morris Edler & husband, Joseph; four great-grandchildren, Dylan Morris & wife, Tessa Noel, Creek Ennis, Cade Ennis, and Brannon Edler; two great-great-grandchildren, Olivia Morris and Willow Morris and her sister-in-law, Ruby Lee Mitchel.

A private family burial will be held in Sheffield, Texas at a later date.
