Obituary

Lola Vivian Rush, 72, of Spring Branch, Texas, passed away on June 9, 2025 at home surrounded by her family.


She was born on December 1, 1952 in Irvington, KY, the daughter of Calvin and Mary Rageina Bruington. She married James Philip Rush on December 11, 1971.


Lola is preceded in death by her parents Calvin and Rageina Bruington, son Jason Rush and brother-in-law Bill Montgomery.


Lola is survived by her husband, James Rush, daughter Angela Rush and granddaughter, Vivian Rush all of Spring Branch, Texas; grandson Ethan Rush of New Braunfels, Texas, and Kullen Rush of Canyon Lake, Texas. She is also survived by her brothers and sister, Edwin Bruington (wife, Donna) of Jacksonville, IL, Betty Montgomery of Decatur, IL, Jerry Bruington (wife, Joyce) of Jacksonville, IL, and Ritcha Bruington of Hardinsburg, KY; numerous nieces and nephews.


Lola was a loving wife, mother, mamaw, sister, aunt and friend.  She worked hard all of her life especially when she owned her own company cleaning up houses after they were built. Lola enjoyed being outdoors, working with her husband on various projects at home, and spending time with her family and friends. She was very talented with crafts and for many years enjoyed attending the annual craft shows.


Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers as she will be cremated and laid to rest at Hill Country Memorial Gardens.
