Margaret Kucera Cooper of Spring Branch, Texas passed away peacefully on November 14, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. Margaret will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving sister, the best aunt and great aunt ever imagined. Her family is comforted in knowing upon her departure from her physical life, Margaret was able to reunite with her parents, whom she loved and missed dearly. Margaret never met a stranger and enriched all the lives around her. We are sure she is making a ton of new friends in heaven and talking everyone up.

Margaret was born on August 15, 1952 to Mary and Albin Kucera of Corpus Christi, TX. She graduated from The Incarnate Word Academy in 1970. From there, she attended Sam Houston State University where she earned a degree in Criminology. As a military wife, Margaret was often on the move and had several different careers from business executive for Bell (AT&T) in Houston to the State Department Conference Coordinator in Virginia. She also always dedicated her free time to various nonprofit organizations and remained an active member in her sorority, Alpha Delta Pi.

When Margaret was 17 and on summer break in Corpus Christi, she met Mark Cooper and quickly fell in love. Their love withstood the tests of time and they were set to celebrate their 47 th anniversary this January. Mark's military career took them on unforgettable journeys together. They moved 17 times and visited over 15 countries. They spent 2 years living in Germany and were able to travel together throughout Europe, collecting crystal and other irreplaceable antiques. Margaret could tell you a story about each piece and cherished them for the memories they held.

Because Mark was often traveling, Margaret always had a pet to keep her company. As with all things she did, she put her whole heart into raising them. They were her babies and she treated them as such. CT, her current cat, has been harassing Mark for all the treats Margaret constantly gave her.

Margaret's love for family was immeasurable. She was dedicated to organizing her family reunions and keeping up with everyone. Visiting with her many nieces and nephews was one of her favorite activities. After moving back to Texas, she made it her job to pick up her great nieces from school to spend quality time with them while spoiling them as much as possible. They, like everyone who knew Margaret, loved how she never had time for silence and always had something fun or interesting to talk about. She was one of the sweetest and kindhearted people ever known and her family will miss her deeply.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Albin Kucera. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Mark Cooper; sister, Cecelia Fox of Port Aransas; four brothers: Phil (Joyce) Kucera of Rockport, Danny (Deborah) Kucera of Austin, Paul Kucera of Alpine, Lael Greeson Kucera of Alpine, and Tommy Kucera (Nikki Sohn) of Corpus Christi; sister-in-law, Penny Cooper; brothers-in-law, David Cooper and Steven (Judy) Cooper. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews who she loved dearly and will miss her greatly. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 23 rd at 11 a.m. at Saint Thomas the Apostle (180 St. Thomas Drive, Canyon Lake, TX).

The Family would also like to thank all of the ICU doctors, nurses, and staff at Christus Santa Rosa in New Braunfels, TX for the kindness and loving care given to Margaret.
