Marguerite Turner went home to be with the Lord on February 23, 2022.  She is preceded in death by her husband Nolan Turner, Sr. of 49 years, parents Hulda (Krause) Brotze and Harry Brotze, Sr., baby son, George Edward Turner, and two sisters, Dorothy Breid and Irene Wetta.

She is survived by children, Shirley Holderfield (Millard), John Turner, Debbie Ridgway, Nolan Turner, Jr. (Ida); brothers, Harry Brotze (Carmen), Robert Brotze; grandchildren, Mark Holderfield, Scott Holderfield (Jessica), Thomas J. Ridgway, Brian E. Ridgway (Alisha), Samantha Turner (Chad); great grandchildren, Mikayla Holderfield, Wrigley Holderfield, Zachary Huffman, Arik Reininger, Haily Ridgway, and Willow Skye Rose Ridgway.

Marguerite was an active member in the community including the Elks Lodge, New Braunfels Citizens Police Alumni Association.  She did all these activities for a long time.  Marguerite enjoyed sewing and quilting for the grandchildren.  She enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren very much.

Marguerite worked for the New Braunfels School District for 21 years, cooking and serving all children at the schools and spoiled a few along the way.  After retiring from the school district and being a widow she the Senior Center cooking meals on wheels where she met a lot of good people and friends.  She will be greatly missed by her family and numerous nieces and cousins.

Viewing will be at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home on Monday, February 28, 2022 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Comal Cemetery.
