Maria Mendez Ibarra was born to Emilio Z. & Marina H. Mendez on June 15, 1928, in Marion, Texas.  She passed from this life on July 28, 2022, in New Braunfels, Texas at the age of 94.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Reynaldo F. Ibarra in 2008; siblings, Pablo Mendez, Rafael Mendez Damasio Mendez, Bernabe Mendez, Gerardo Mendez, Eluterio Mendez, Pantaleon Mendez, Martina Mendez and Bonifacia Frias.

She is survived by her children, Maria Isabel Ibarra (Ernesto Solis) and John R. Ibarra (Jana); grandchildren, James Ibarra, Samuel Ibarra and Hannah Ibarra and numerous nieces, nephews, addition relatives and dear friends.

Maria was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.  She will be dearly missed by all.  She spent her life as a housewife devoted to her home and caring for her children.

A Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels, Texas.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 1, 2022, also at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels, Texas followed by a procession to Marion Cemetery.
