Obituary

Marjory Ann Payne Lyons, 94, of Natalia, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025, at her daughter's home, surrounded by her loving family.

Marjory was born on December 13, 1930, in Muskegon, Michigan. She married Richard Eugene Lyons on May 30, 1953, Her husband was in the U.S. Army, and they moved all over the United States finally retiring to Spring Branch, Texas, where she lived until 2018, then she moved to her daughter's home in Natalia Texas until her passing away.

In gentle ways, she shaped the world around her—each quiet sacrifice, each gentle word, a legacy into the tapestry of our days. Her steadfast presence was the quiet center from which our lives found order and meaning. Even in the smallest gestures, she left traces of devotion that time cannot erase her arms, burdens lessened, and hearts grew lighter, for she carried not only her own hopes, but ours as well. She was always quick with a smile, even for strangers and to her nobody was a stranger.

She is survived by her children: Peggy & Mark Makowski, Bonny J. Lyons, Tena & Lynn Lyons-Wagner, Richard & Dawn Lyons and Vivian & Toby Whitley; her grandchildren: Angela Gabbin, Caleb Madsen, Asha Madsen, Heather & Eli Kirtcher, Richard Jr III & Faith Lyons, Melissa & Michael Griswold, Evan Michael Lyons, Dakota E Osborne, Donovan D Osborne and Natalia & Nadia Hartman; great grandchildren, Madsen Humeniuk, McKinley & Kyria, & Karma & McKenna Osborne, Spencer & Samuel Griswold, Melody & Tobias and Maximus Lyons; siblings: Rose, Beverly, Larry, Paul and Don and multiple nieces and nephews.

She preceded in death by her husband Richard Eugene Lyons, her siblings Frank, Nancy, James, Bob, and Art.
