Mark Stanley Myers, 60, of Spring Branch, Texas passed away on February 16, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born August 21, 1963 in Chambersburg, PA. He graduated from Davenport Central High School, Davenport, Iowa in 1981 and attended Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa participating in the Aircraft Maintenance Program. He received his private pilot's license in his late teens.

He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served six years, receiving the Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon and as a Tactical Aircraft Maintenance Specialist working on T-38's, T-37's and F-15 airplanes. After his military career he went to work at PAGE  AVJET in Orlando, Florida. In 1989 he was employed by the Dee Howard Company in San Antonio, Texas for 12 years. He currently was employed by VT San Antonio Aerospace ST Engineering North America at the time of his death. He rendered 20 plus years of service to VT San Antonio Aerospace. He was a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 74 District 8 and taught boating education in the classrooms, at boat ramps, and on the water. He also did vessel safety inspections for the public to ensure safe boat operations. He was a licensed amateur radio operator for 44 years. He enjoyed going to the amateur radio fests across Texas. Mark had a real passion for airplanes and going to airshows. He was a multi-instrumentalist playing guitars, bass guitars and ukuleles. He enjoyed many genres of music and loved going to concerts, going to guitar stores, and promoting live music. He loved the outdoors, nature, animals, and visiting his in-laws farm. He loved sailboats, fishing, going to the state parks and the coast. He enjoyed thrifting, baseball, football, watching television, watching YouTube videos, and reading books. Mark loved the Lord and is a member of First Baptist Church in Blanco, Texas.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Shirley Ann of Spring Branch, Texas. His half-sister Sharon Harbin of Orlando, Florida, his sister in law Evelyn (John) Granahan of Houston, Texas, his brother in law Jeffrey (Aimee) Zissa of Plano, Texas and a step son Brian Castro of San Antonio, Texas. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Mark was preceded in death by his father Fred S. Myers; his mother Betty (Getz) Goddard; his half brother Barron Snyder; and his step son Robert E. Castro Jr.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in Sattler at Canyon Lake.
