Marlene R. Bartlett, 78 of Austin, Texas passed away peacefully at her home.

She was born to the late Mr. Charles Raymond Branner and Lillian Francis Branner in Moline, Illinois.  She grew up in Austin and was a 1963 Austin High School graduate.

Marlene was confirmed into the Lutheran Church in 1960 had a strong Lutheran Faith and attended several Lutheran Churches in the Austin area. She was also active in several Swedish groups and organizations.

Marlene worked as an accountant and helped many organizations and businesses.

A very special Thank You goes out to Drive a Senior that was a very big part of Marlene's life and a blessing to her as her health started to fail and all those that drove her to her many appointments.

Being an only child Marlene leaves no family but does have several friends and neighbors that will miss her dearly.

A Life Celebration Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, January 18, 2024,

at the Elgin Funeral Home 712 N. Avenue C. Elgin, Texas 78612

Marlene had a love for cats so memorials may be given to an animal shelter in her honor.
