Marvin Carl Otto Kossaeth, 94 passed away on October 5, 2022, in New Braunfels, Texas.

He was born on March 1, 1928, in Converse, Tx. At the age of 6 he was raised by his uncle Carl and Aunt Lilda Kossaeth on the farm in Marion, Tx. He met and married Clarine and to this marriage was born two sons, Allen Lee and Clifford Ray and a daughter Debra Jean.

In 1974 he married Ursula and to his marriage she brought a son, Eddie and daughter Lenora.

Marvin served 8 years in the Army and also the Army National Guard from 1951 to 1959. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion post 179 for 66 years, after serving in the army Marvin returned home to become a farmer and rancher, he also had a Gulf service station on Hwy.35 and then on Landa Street, after retiring he went back to farming.

Marvin is preceded in death by his wife's Clarine and Ursula, step daughter, Lenora and a sister Verna Lee Kossaeth.

He is survived by his 3 children and his stepson, 14 grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Thursday October 13, 2022, from 5 to 7 at the Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Friday October 14, 2022, at the Hill Country Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Memorials in Marvin's honor may be given to the charity of ones choice.
