Mary Edith McAfee-Richey, 88, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on June 15, 2024, in New Braunfels.  She was born April 29, 1936, in Lexington, Kentucky to Kelley and Dorothy (Vires) Glenn.

She is preceded in death by her first husband of 46 years, James McAfee, and second husband of 12 years, Ralph Richey, Daughter Patricia (Patty) McAfee, Mother Dorothy Tudor; Father Kelley Glenn; Brothers, James, John, and George Glenn.

She is survived by her son, James McAfee and wife Brenda; daughter, Jeanene Ryan; daughter, Mary Lange and husband Ronald; grandchildren, Kara and Aaron Weinstein, Gary, Amy, and Cameron Ryan, Kelly and Erik Markus, Ronnie Lange, Emily Lange and Vanessa Castillo, and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday, June 24, 2024 at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in Sattler at Canyon Lake.  A Graveside service will follow at 11:30 AM at Cranes Mill Baptist Church Cemetery in Startzville.

Mary was the sweetest soul, a true blessing and a devoted wife and mother, she will be sorely missed.
