Milton Ray Barnes Jr. passed away peacefully at his home in Blanco, Texas, on September 26, 2024, at the age of 70.  He was born on April 8, 1954, in San Diego, California to Milton and Noveen (Watts) Barnes. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and step grandson Justin Hinojosa.  Milton was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.

Milton's life was marked by his dedication to his family and friends. He was known for his warm heart, generous spirit, and unwavering support for those he loved.  His two passions in life were rodeo (calf roping and team roping) and golf, where he excelled in both.

Milton is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Laurie, children RaDonna Barnes, Justin Barnes, and grandchildren Jace Hinojosa, Madilyn Hinojosa, Lauren Hinojosa, Bailey Barnes and Sydney Barnes, who will forever cherish the moments they spent with him. His legacy of kindness, love, and resilience will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 PM on Monday, September 30 at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 1, in the funeral home chapel followed by burial at Hill Country Memorial Gardens

Pallbearers will be Jace Hinojosa, Armando Garcia, Derek Wohlfahrt, Jason Wohlfahrt, Dee Lawrence and Lyman Skolaut.  Honorary Pallbearers are Donny Lawrence and Bradley Boegner.

Milton will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
