Myrtle Jean Marroquin's Obituary
Myrtle Jean Marroquin passed from this life on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at the age of 72.
She was born in Dallas, Texas on December 12, 1947. She attended Leesville High School in Leesville, LA. Jean worked many years in the insurance industry before retiring. Jean loved to sew, craft, and find hidden treasures at garage sales and thrift stores. She also spent many years volunteering at CRRC Thrift Store where she made many friends. She loved her Spurs and Dallas Cowboys, but her greatest love was her family and we were blessed to have her.
Jean married Ronald Marroquin in 1987. They had 27 wonderful years together before Ronnie's death in August 2014.
She is survived by her children, Orlando Trevino, Jr., Susan M. Gooch and her husband Brian Gooch, and John Gabriel "Tex" Trevino; her sister Mary Emma Torres Guidry; and her grandchildren, Benjamin "Bo" Trevino and his fiancé, Laurel Johnston, Jackie Powell Hall and her husband, Matt Hall, and Hunter Trevino. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Jean was preceded in death by her mother, June Bishop, her husband, Ronald Marroquin, her in-laws Earnest and Lucy Marroquin and siblings Aubra Edge, James Zadoka and Doris Nowell.
In remembrance of Jean, there will be a memorial service for her on October 17, 2020 at Hill Country Memorial Gardens at 1:00 PM. Please join us as we celebrate Jean's life.
The family will be hosting a memorial gathering following the graveside service to celebrate Jean's life at Landa Park – Pavilions 5 & 6 and all are welcome.
