Norman Ralph Chappell "Ralph" was born in Mission, Texas, June 8, 1933, to Squire Colbert & Mina Eltice Walls Chappell.

He married Linda Jean Ellis in 1953.

He passed peacefully in his home surrounded by his children Sept 19, 2023, at the age of 90.  Sherry Schneider (Lynn), Chris Chappell (Debbie), Bonnie Hoffmann (Michael), Robert Chappell (Lisa).

He is survived by his brothers Randall Chappell (Sue Ann), James Chappell and Doug Chappell (Linda) and Brother-in-law Louis Sternberg (Deanna).

Grandchildren Ryan Schneider (Emily, Reagan Schneider (Shannon), Amber Galvan (Hector), Ashley Timmerman (Jason), Austin Chappell (Victoria), Chelsea McClendon (Woody), Tanner Hoffmann (a'Lisa), Logan Chappell (Ashlea), Avery Chappell, Connor Chappell, Sierra Ramsey, Kris Saladino, and John Cella (Estefania), and 22 Great Grandchildren and numerous other additional family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Linda, son Steven, Brother Wayland, Brother Collis and Sister Malloy Nagy.

His Career included proudly serving in the National Guard and working as a Manager at HEB.  After retiring from HEB he moved to Canyon Lake where he owned Lakeview Drive Inn and Grocery and later Hancock Mini Mart.

He enjoyed hunting, Fishing, golfing and cruising/traveling with family and friends.  His greatest joy being his family.

Ralph also loved his church family and rarely missed an opportunity to fellowship with them.  He faithfully served as a member of the Deacon body of his church.

Ralph led others to Christ by the example he displayed during his walk-through life.  He was no doubt welcomed into the Kingdom of God with a hearty, "Well done my good and faithful servant".

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM

(with a visitation being held one hour prior from 10:00 AM until Service Time)

on Friday, September 22, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Canyon Lake, Texas.

A Procession will follow to Fischer Cemetery for burial.
