Patricia "Pat" B. Whitehurst was the daughter of Harold E. & Avie Vaughn (McDonald) Butler was born on March 8, 1936 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She passed from this life on November 17, 2024, in Cibolo, Texas at the age of 88.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Whitehurst and her brother, Keith Butler.

Pat is survived by her daughter Terri Quick & husband, Dennis of Canyon Lake; grandson, Scott Quick & wife, Jenna of Bulverde; great-grandson, Rhett Quick; step great-grandchildren, Kevin Eberwein, Jr., and Kara Eberwein.

Pat spent her childhood growing up on the family farm in Beaumont, Texas and attended the United Methodist Church. She was raised very close to her Grandparents and Great Grandparents; the family bond was a very close one.

Pat's first husband, Harold Tucker, was in the Army, stationed in North Carolina, she found it hard to be away from her family. After returning to Texas, having Terri, and marrying again, she moved to Houston. She worked for Herron Campers in Pearland and loved it! Pat was a Life Member of The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo as well.

She later sold sunglasses for Sunglass Products of Texas. This enabled her to not only travel East and South Texas but to care for her aging parents. She served them well. Her family and close friends knew her as "Patty". If you knew Patty? She was beautiful, determined, mischievous and funny. She was the person you always want on your side.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM (with a visitation being held one hour prior from 10:00 AM until service time) on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels with Reverend Jim Roberts officiating. A Procession will depart the funeral home following the service enroute to Hill Country Memorial Gardens, 11700 SH – 46, New Braunfels, Texas 78132.
