Our Father in Heaven has accepted Patsy Jo Clary, age 73.  She passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, September 7, 2022.  She was born on October 2, 1948, in Memphis, Tennessee to Willa Mae and Charles Joseph Ashford.

Patsy graduated from Provine High School in Jackson, Mississippi   in 1966.  She attended Hinds Junior College and Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri, majoring in Art.  As a world-class artist, Patsy was a member of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art

in Kansas City, and a member of the Winston-Salem Art Association in North Carolina.  She was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans Women's Auxiliary.  Patsy enjoyed a career in advertising and insurance.  She married the love of her life, Mark R. Clary, on October 25, 1974.  They were married for 27 years, and they made many happy memories during their travels together.

Patsy's first love from an early age was art and she worked hard all her life to perfect her craft.  She took pride in her various art projects and enjoyed sharing them with her family and friends.  She won numerous awards for contributions to her field.

Patsy is preceded in death by her husband, Mark R. Clary, her parents, Willa Mae Thomas, Charles Ashford, and her stepfather, Cecil Thomas.  She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Clary and husband, Bryan Lazerus, her sister, DiAnn Ashford Grimes (Kirk), brothers, Jackson Ashford (Anna) and Ernie Ashford (Virginia), and many nieces and nephews.
