Paul Daniel McCaffery left this life on May 17, 2022 at Canyon Lake, Texas, after a valiant battle with cancer.  He was 82 years old and a deeply loved father, brother and friend.

He was born on 22 March 1940 in Burlington, Vermont to parents Elmer Vernon and Margaret Helen Goulding McCaffery, joining his two brothers, David Vernon and Robert James.  He grew up in Garrison, New York and Balboa, Panama.  When he was 14, the family moved to San Antonio, Texas where he graduated from Alamo Heights High School in 1958.  He attended Texas Christian University, St. Mary's University and entered the Marine Corps in 1961, serving in the Cuban missile crisis.

Paul is survived by two children:  Margaret Helen of Canyon Lake, Texas and Paul Daniel and his wife, Wendy Renee of Spring, Texas.

Paul lived at the lake where he enjoyed boating and outdoor activities with children, family, and friends.

A graveside service will be held at Fort Sam Houston at 10:00 on June 14, 2022 conducted by Chaplain Garcia, of Christus Hospice.
