Paula Jean Whipkey, 82, of Seguin, Texas, passed away on September 10, 2025 in New Braunfels.  She was born August 26, 1943 in Warren, Ohio to Paul and Margaret (Lyle) Garner.

She Graduated from Juneau High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  She enrolled at Methodist School of Nursing in Dallas, Texas where she earned her diploma in nursing in 1964.  She was a Registered Nurse for 43 years.  Paula loved animals and was a canine trainer.  She enjoyed going on trail rides on her horse "Khatrinna".

She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert Whipkey, son, William "Bill" Ray Whipkey and wife Tracy of Boerne, Tx., daughter, Cara Jean Koehler and husband Kerry of Lubbock, Tx., brother, Alan Garner and wife Frances of Chesapeake, Va., grandchildren; Jayson Koehler and wife Mackenzie, Griffin Koehler and wife Annabelle, Hannah Torres and husband Wally, Sydney Koehler, Kaitlyn Revolus and husband Sam, Kole Gott, great grandchildren; Opal Koehler, Ada Koehler, and Harmony Revolus.  She is also survived by her nieces, Samantha Garner and Cyndi Diton, and great niece Alexa Diton and great nephew Riley Garner.

A funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service.  She will be laid to rest in Centennial Cemetery in Aleppo Township, Pennsylvania.
