Philip Edmond Mills, 78, of Canyon Lake, Texas passed away September 29, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas.  He was born January 4, 1943 in Childress, Texas to Thomas and Pauline (Kelso) Mills.

Phil was raised in Amarillo, Texas and was the oldest of five children. He had two brothers (Dennis and Gary Mills) and two sisters (Kitty Hufford and Susie Richardson). Phil relocated his family to San Antonio in 1979. Phil was a faithful employee of Levi Strauss & Company for over 30 years. Upon his retirement from Levis, he embarked on his dream job of working at River Crossing Golf Club in Spring Branch, Texas where he worked until his passing.

Phil was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friend. Phil loved his wife, children and grandchildren immensely. Phil's devotion to his family was consistently demonstrated by his strong desire to be a provider, a comforter and a constant source of fun and enjoyment.

In addition to his family, Phil possessed a great love of his country as evidenced by his service in the US Army. Phil was man of strong convictions and carried a high sense of justice. Phil believed strongly in doing the right thing.  Phil's was a lover of golf, rock n roll history and collecting music.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol,  his daughter Angie, his two sons Jeff, Greg, six grandchildren Jason, Julie, Shelby, Keely, Mandy and Jesse.  We celebrate his life and the passion he pursued it with. There are no words to describe how much his family and friends will miss him.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Riverside Community Church in Bulverde with Greg Mills and Pastor Michael McCrum officiating.
