Obituary

Phillip Charles Strickland was born to Troy and Dorothy (Phillips) Strickland on January 6,1959 in Fort Worth, TX. Phillip peacefully met Jesus on October 16, 2026.

Phillip lived in Fort Worth, Burleson, Corpus Christie, Houston and the San Antonio area hill country over the course of his life. His almost 40-year career with AT&T (SWBT, SBC) included Operator Services. Field Services, Special Services, IT Technical Management and Video Services Management. Phillip began riding motorcycles in his teens and into his 60’s. He traveled thousands of miles across Texas throughout his life. He learned to RV at a very young age with his dad. He shared this love with his children and young grandchildren. He introduced this love to his wife Ginette, and they traveled thousands of miles together with their beloved dogs in tow. Phillip was an avid golfer and worked at The Club at Rebecca Creek for many years post retirement. Phillip was technically and mechanically savvy and could repair almost anything. He had a passion for classic cars, spending hours rebuilding and sprucing up his 68 Camaro. Phillip spent the last two years of his life totally immersed in God’s word.

Phillip is preceded in death by his parents. Phillip is survived by three beautiful children and five grandchildren: son, Christopher Strickland and his wife Tiffany, daughter, Danielle Allen and her husband Justin, along with their three children; Jacob, Michaela, Makenna, and son Sean Strickland and his wife Makayla with their twins, Lachlann and Somerton. Phillip also leaves behind his wife Ginette Herum, their precious pups, Fiona and Odin, her daughter Danielle and husband Sean Arriola, and their son Hunter, and her son Ian and wife Stephanie Herum. When you consider all the similarities with names, dates and simply the love of this blended family, it is clear God orchestrated every detail.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Club at Rebecca Creek, 10101 Rebecca Creek, Spring Branch, TX on Saturday, November 7th at 1:30 pm at the chapel on #9 green.

To God be all glory and praise for the great things he hath done. So loved He the world that He gave us His only son. His son Jesus, the only path to God our father and eternal life. We rejoice knowing that all those who believe in Jesus will have eternal life and will be reunited with our beloved Phillip when we also meet Jesus.
