Randy F. Hines, age 61, of San Antonio, peacefully passed away in the early morning hours of December 1, 2024, at Methodist Stone Oak Hospital. Born on May 4, 1961, in Waco, Texas, to Frank and Sandra Hines.

Randy's journey through life was one of passion, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. As a young man at Waco High School, Randy was known for his vibrant energy, excelling as both a tennis player and a proud drummer in the marching band. His early years were marked by a sense of purpose and creativity that would define his life. After graduating, Randy attended Baylor University, where he met his future wife, Peggy Collins—a bond that would shape his life in ways he never could have imagined. Randy's career was a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit and his ever-evolving talents. Specializing in advertising and digital arts, he built a career that was as dynamic and innovative as the man himself. Later, he shared his knowledge as a teacher, inspiring the next generation before retiring in 2023. Outside of work, Randy was a man of simple joys—spending quality time with family, enjoying a round of golf, riding one of his many motorcycles, writing, and filling the world around him with laughter.

Randy's heart was boundless, always open to those in need. Whether offering a word of comfort, a quick wit to lighten the mood, or a shoulder to lean on, Randy had an innate ability to connect with others. He took immense pride in his children, sharing stories of their accomplishments and his love for them with anyone who would listen. His genuine presence, his calming nature, and his infectious laughter left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Randy's deep, quiet strength forged lifelong friendships, and he held these relationships close to his heart.

A true romantic at his core, Randy reunited with his soulmate, Peggy, after 40 years apart, and they were married on May 31, 2019. Their brief years together were filled with love, laughter, and joy—a love story that Randy carried with him until his final moments. After Peggy's passing five years later, he kept her memory alive in his heart, celebrating her life with reverence and devotion.

Randy leaves behind his mother, Sandra Chmielewski; his sister, Catherine Redden; his children, Reagen Hines, Ashley Lavoie, Houston Hines, and Brenden Nolan; and his grandchildren, Madison Garcia, Hudson, and Hazel Nolan.

A service to honor Randy's life will be held on December 6, 2024, at Doppenschmidt Funeral Home, 189 N. Seguin Ave, New Braunfels, TX 78130. The viewing will begin at 9 a.m., with the service following at 11 a.m. Randy will be laid to rest at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, 301 Peace Ave, New Braunfels, TX 78130, at 1 p.m.

Randy Hines touched countless lives through his warmth, his humor, and his love. His presence in this world will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
