Ray E. Bacon passed away July 20, 2026, in New Braunfels, Texas at the age of 94. He was born October 26, 1931, in San Antonio, Texas to Roy and Eugenia Bacon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary and son, James Bacon.

Ray is survived by his son, Henry Bacon; his grandson, Jeric Bacon and his wife Jennifer; and two great-granddaughters, Avery Bacon and Kinsley Bacon.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, August 17, 2026, at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels, Texas. Interment, with Military Honors, will take place later that afternoon at 1:15 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.
