Raymond J. (Ronnie) Giesick, 74, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022.  He was born on January 28, 1948, in Floresville, Texas.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Ida Giesick.

Ronnie is survived by his brother, Howard (Hal) Giesick; niece, Andrea Hollomon and husband Casey; great nephew and niece, Cooper and Addison Hollomon; a large extended Richardson and Giesick family and many friends.

Ronnie graduated from New Braunfels High School in 1966 and Southwest Texas State University in 1971.  Nicknamed "Doc" in high school, he was class favorite his freshman year, very active in the German club and was always making friends.  He was in Boy Scouts of America and earned the rank of Eagle Scout.

Ronnie was a member of the Senior Citizens Center of New Braunfels and the Faithful Friends of OLPH Catholic Church in Selma, Texas.  He worked at Ol' Bossy Milk Company, the Faust Hotel, Wuest Grocery Store and numerous motels and restaurants in San Antonio. He was a licensed realtor.

Ronnie loved life and loved people.  He had a special place in his heart for animals, adopting many dogs and cats.  He loved to dance at Wurstfest and at the Bluebonnet Dance Hall.  He cherished all his Bluebonnet Dance Hall friends. Ronnie was quite the "historian".  He could elaborate on world affairs, birthdates and family history.  He will be truly missed by everyone that knew him!

A memorial service will be held November 21, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Senior Citizens Center of New Braunfels or New Braunfels Animal Shelter.
