Rebecca Gail
(Landry) Brantley
Aug 12, 1949 — Aug 28, 2026
Rebecca Gail (Landry) Brantley of New Braunfels, TX was taken home on August 28, 2026 to join her Heavenly Father and husband James E. Brantley Jr. who proceeded her in death. Rebecca was born on August 12, 1949 in New Bedford, Massachusetts to Edgar Landry and Mary Ellen (Shusta) Landry.
Rebecca "Becky" was preceded in death by her husband James "Jimmy" E. Brantley Jr., parents Edgar and Mary Landry, and her brother Ronald Landry. She is survived by her daughter Stacey and Bradley Brown of Canyon Lake, TX and their children: Cullen, Landry and Ethan, son Chad and Susan Brantley of Spring Branch, TX, and their children: Shane, Nathaniel, Elijah, and Jeremiah, son Brian and April Brantley of New Braunfels, TX and their children: Abigail and Bennett.
Becky entered nursing school at Jackson Memorial Hospital soon after graduating high school at North Miami. There is where she earned her degree in Nursing and met James who was recently enrolled in the military. They were married there in Miami on Valentine's Day, 1971. After Jimmy's discharge from his service in Vietnam it was decided they would move to his home state of Texas. Becky's valued work as a nurse was displayed in the many hospitals she worked at. She, however excelled in motherhood and helping run the business, T.A.D. & Associates Jimmy and her established in the early 1980's. They brought the family to the beautiful hill country in the mid 80's and mainly resided there and in Alpine, TX.
To say Becky had a love for animals is an understatement. She had a love for many things, not limited to: helping others, enjoying a beautiful bouquet of flowers, rescuing animals, watching the sunset and enjoying a good steak. She would often take her country drives with anyone willing to join and soak in God's beauty. She had a grounded relationship with the Lord and she along with Jimmy were evolved with various churches.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 4, 2026 at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home at Canyon Lake in Sattler. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM prior to services. Interment will follow at Hill Country Memorial Gardens in New Braunfels.
A reception will follow at Startz Café in Startzville.
