Richard Mann Bradley was born to Richard Morris & Ruth (Shayler) Bradley on December 10, 1945.

He passed from this life on January 30, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 78.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Barbara (Haggett) Bradley in 2018.

He is survived by his children, Richard Michael Bradley & wife, Kristine of Austin, Texas and Shayler Bradley Wagner & husband, Jason of New Braunfels; sister, Luanne Allard & husband, Bill of Sudbury, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Ella Wagner, Miller Bradley, Emily Bradley and Ashleigh Wagner and many other additional relatives and dear friends.

Rich was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, but spent many years of his childhood outside the U.S., living in Algeria and Argentina before returning to Oklahoma for high school. Living overseas is where he developed his passion for soccer. After graduating high school, Rich attended Washington University in St. Louis where he graduated with a Masters in Business Administration, and met the love of his life, Barb. They married on June 8, 1968, and remained happily married until her passing in 2018.  After college, Rich served in the Air Force for two years at Minot AFB in North Dakota.  He spent his professional career in the food industry, first as a restaurant manager and owner in North Dakota, Wyoming, and Texas. He later worked for Sysco Foods as a salesman, sales manager, and finally as a regional training manager for the southwest U.S.

Rich was always very involved with his children, coaching Mike's soccer teams and driving across the country for Shay's AAU and college track meets. He even became a certified track and field official to help pass the time at the long meets. After retirement in 2008, Rich volunteered at the Bulverde library, helping senior citizens use computers. He joined the Comal County Master Gardeners and Master Naturalists where he made great friends and helped with many projects at Agrilife.  He also spent countless hours volunteering at Guadalupe River State Park. To Rich, family was everything.  He attended as many of his grandkids' volleyball, soccer, lacrosse games, dance recitals, and band concerts as possible.  Rich loved spending time with his family and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 13, 2024

at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 777 W. San Antonio Street, New Braunfels, Texas 78130.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Texas Parks and Wildlife, the Texas State Park System, and The Honey Creek State Natural area at Guadalupe River State Park will be appreciated.
