Richard Brent Parks, age 72, passed away suddenly at his home in Spring Branch, Texas on Sunday, February 9. Brent was born on April 20, 1952 to Charles R. "Buddy" Parks and LaDell Duncan in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Brent attended Calk Elementary and Hamlin Junior High. He graduated from Mary Carroll High School in 1970. In 1972, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served as a Military Policeman in West Germany. After his military service, Brent attended Del Mar College and earned a degree in Electronics. For most of his adult life, he worked as an electronics technician in Corpus Christi and San Antonio, eventually owning his own repair shop. From 2008 to 2020, he drove a school bus for Comal County ISD.

Brent was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sherry Kilgore Bush. He is survived by his sister, Jan Oliver (Bruce) and his older brother, Robert.
