Robert Wade
Gerdes
Jun 23, 1976 — Jun 15, 2022
Robert Wade Gerdes, age 45 passed away June 15 th , 2022, in an auto collision. He was born June 23 rd , 1976, in San Antonio, Texas to his loving parents Robert and Peggy Gerdes. Wade attended high school at Judson High School in Converse, Texas. He always stayed close to the area over the years. Wade was a true Texan through and through.
Wade was robust and friendly, he loved to love people. He never met a stranger and could come home from the grocery store, restaurant, or park knowing some new friend's life story. He loved spending time and fishing with his sons, taking walks with family and savoring the life he was granted to live. Wade loved nature and stopped to peer in amazement at the smallest of things. This past year after a previous auto accident he loved his Lord even more than ever as well as his whole family. Everyone was told I love you every single time he spoke with them. He was becoming the man he always wanted to be.
For many years wherever Wade was employed at they immediately became family to him. So many companies that have had Wade as an employee mourn alongside the family in this great loss.
Wade is survived by his two boys Micah Wade Gerdes and Jack Morgan Gerdes; his father, Robert Donald Gerdes and his wife, step mother, Judy Gerdes; his mother, Peggy Bittinger, and her husband, step-father William Bittinger; his sister, Wendy Faye Holt and her husband, Jerry Holt; his sister, Holly Denton and husband, John Denton; step-brother, Justin; step-sisters, Crystal and Tiffany; several nieces, (Emerald, Chloe, Kyra, Gracie, Mya, Kinley); nephew, (Dustin); great-niece (Caddis) and great-nephew (Morkai); as well as, additional step-nieces and nephew; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close family friends.
