The family of Ron Cone is Grateful to God for his life, for your friendship, and for your kindness and prayers.

Ron "Papaw" Cone, 88, of Canyon Lake, was born in Pittsburg, Texas to Ted and Oleta (Scott) Cone.  He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Charles, daughter-in-law Pat, and granddaughter Ashton.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Pamela, brother Derwood, sisters-in-law Jean and Sherill; children, David Cone, Lynn Hernandez (Don), Mike Cone (Donna), David Gartner, Laura Miller (Richard), Katherine Wagner (Shannon); grandchildren, Tina Houle, Crystal Cone, Joshua Cone, Sarai Trejo (Isrrael), Jared Cone (Ami), Jewel Gartner, Lauren Jewell, Ellen & Allison Wagner; great-grandchildren, Haley, Hanah, Dylan, Caleb, Chrissa, Braylee, Evan, Mila, Lilly, Robert, Leo; great-great-grandchildren, Dax and A.J.

Ron grew up in Houston and graduated from Reagan High.  He worked for the Whirlpool Corporation and retired in 1995 after 28 years as a Territory Sales Manager.  In this position he traveled the state serving commercial clients and was fortunate to establish countless successful business relationships, many of which turned into lifelong friendships.  Shortly after retirement he and Pamela moved to the Hill Country and eventually built their dream home on the Guadalupe River.  This is where they were to enjoy many years spent with family, friends, & especially their cherished grandchildren.  Ron stayed very busy in retirement serving his community as a commissioner with the Canyon Lake Fire & EMS Dept., a Watchdog at Oak Creek Elementary School, and enjoying many rounds of golf and/or cards with friends.  Ron was a Christian and his work at Canyon Lake Church of Christ was very important to him.  He lived his life with honor and integrity & though he will be deeply missed his memory will always be cherished.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on June 22nd 2024 at Canyon Lake Church of Christ.
