Ron joined the Navy in 1960 after getting a GED. He attended special training and joined a flight crew in Jacksonville, Florida. He got out of the Navy in 1964 and we moved to Houston, TX. He worked as an electronic technician for oil companies while he attended the University of Houston earning a business degree.

In 1976 we moved to Richland, WA, where he worked for the Department of Energy. In 1980 we went to Melbourne, Florida where he attended the Florida Institute of Technology and earned a master's degree in Contracts. We went back to Richland, WA, but we made moves to West Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC and back to Richland, WA.

Ron retired from the Executive Service of the Department of Energy in 1997 and we moved to Port Aransas, TX (our last move) but we got tired of running from hurricanes, so we moved to New Braunfels.

Ron was an avid Hunter and loved hunting in Washington, andwe loved eating the Elk and Deer meat. There are not Elk in Texas, so he took up Trap Shooting. Ron has a lot of trophies displayed in his office and he loved going to the shoots and competing with friends.

He is survived by his wife Sue Cone, two sons Ron Jr (Regina) and Jim (Rebecca), two granddaughters Klarissa Cone, and Jessica Frazier, brother Ted Cone (Kay), and nieces Shelly (Dallas), Teressa (Ron)
