Roy C. Pendergraft ended his Earthly journey the evening of February 4, 2021 and started his eternal celebration in Glory at the age of 98.

Mr. Pendergraft was born 12/28/1922 and is preceded in death by all 7 of his siblings, mother, father, and his wife, Carylene Pendergraft. Roy is survived in death by his children Michael Pendergraft of San Antonio, Melissa Pendergraft of New Braunfels, and Dave and Judy Pendergraft of San Marcos, TX. Several grandchildren including Judy and husband Danny Harris of New Braunfels with whom Mr. Pendergraft lived, Tara Pendergraft of New Braunfels, Great Grandchildren Cody Pendergraft of San Marcos, Katie Harris of New Braunfels, and his newest "little Buddy" Brady Harris of new Braunfels, TX, dozens of cousins, nieces, and nephews that span the globe.

Roy was a WW2 Veteran having served as a Merchant Marine, Coast Guard, and Navy and later in life retired with Via Transit in San Antonio. He was passionate about life and making sure to love and to live life. When asked several months ago what his secret to longevity was his answer was so simple, "stop worrying about living, stop looking at life and start living". Roy's character and personality was one that will forever be unmatched, as will his stories. The legacy that he is living behind is one that will last throughout the test of time, after all, he was born 4000 years ago and there ain't nothin' he don't know. He saw Adam and he saw Eve, and he saw em kissing in a tree, and he will whoop the man who says it isn't so.

Roy will be having a military service, on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at VFW Post 7110, 600 S. Peace Avenue, New Bruanfels, Texas 78130 and then he will be reunited with his wife, Carylene of 62 years at Blue Ridge Baptist Church outside of Marlin, TX.
