Ruth Wehe Kolmeier passed away on July 18, 2021, at the age of 94.  Ruth was born on November 30, 1926, to Harry and Linda Wehe in New Braunfels, Texas.  She is survived by her daughter Sharon Kolmeier of Bulverde, numerous nieces and nephews, many friends and extended family in Youngstown, New York.   Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years Chester Kolmeier and her parents.

Ruth lived her entire life in Bulverde.  Her parents owned the Scheel and Wehe General Store in Bulverde.  She talked of going to the dances at the dance hall behind the store and it was there she met Chester.  They were married on June 18, 1947.

Ruth was a wonderful cook and enjoyed entertaining family and friends.  She enjoyed gardening and had beautiful flowers every summer.  She also crocheted many pretty afghans.  Ruth and Chester traveled extensively and enjoyed camping trips with a group of friends.  She was an avid bowler, both 9 and 10 pin, and won many trophies at County Trophy Bowling and Texas 10 pin tournaments.  For the past 10 years they spent a lot of time at their second home in Youngstown, New York.

Ruth will be missed by all those who knew and loved her including her faithful dog, Beasley.

There will be a graveside service at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, 844 Obst Rd, Bulverde, Texas on Thursday Aug. 5, 2021 at 10:00 A.M.
