Sandra Nora
Cox
Feb 1, 1954 — Jun 26, 2023
Sandra Nora Cox was born to Jose Sauceda & Rosemary (Wills) Nuñez on February 1, 1954 in Brownsville, Texas.
She passed from this life surrounded by her loving family on June 26, 2023 in Canyon Lake, Texas at the age of 69.
Sandy was preceded in death by her mother, Rosemary Wills and her grandmother, Romana Barreda.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Cox of Canyon Lake; father Jose Sauceda Nuñez (Rosie) of Brownsville; son, Jay Brechot (Rochelle) of Benbrook, Texas; daughters, Jessica Brechot de Ramon (Arturo) of Wimberley, Jacklyn Hebert (Brian) of Canyon Lake & Katy and Joanna Benjamin (Arthur) of Fulshear, Texas; grandchildren, Olivia Brechot, Amaya Ruiz, Noah Barragan, Jackson Hebert, Luke Hebert, William Benjamin, Cash Ramon, Jax Ramon, Bodhi Brechot and Rip Ramon; siblings, Rose DeGraaf, Robert Nuñez, Richard Nuñez, Alfred Nuñez and David Nuñez and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, additional relatives and dear friends.
Sandy was fun-loving, hardworking, and tireless in her efforts to bring happiness to the people around her. She was a nurse for over 40 years and loved being able to help others in every stage of life. Her caring and compassionate nature was felt by every patient and their loved ones. For her family, Sandy was a beacon for all things good. She inspired the people around her to always be kind, work hard, play hard, to never turn their back on someone in need, and love one another. She loved to cook with her loving husband, children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews…even if some things were "A little on the toasty side." Her pies were legendary, and those recipes will be passed on for generations. When not in the kitchen, you could find her outside. She loved to be at the beach or on the lake, a family game of baseball, and camping, complete with the best ghost stories. Above all things, Sandy lived her life in service to God, and she called on others to do the same.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 5, 2023
at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home at Canyon Lake, 1071 FM 2673, (Sattler), Canyon Lake, Texas 78133.
Sandy did not want flowers, and she did not want any donations to be made on her behalf.
Please just go out in the world and show kindness to others, as she always did.
