Scott Darren Creel was born in San Antonio, Texas on October 3, 1974, and passed away unexpectedly on February 24, 2025, at the age of 50.

Scott graduated from Canyon High School in 1993 and soon after, his career in the food industry began as a salesperson with a food distribution company. Several years later, he was recruited by Ben E. Keith Foods where he worked for the remainder of his career. Scott was a natural born salesman. Throughout his career, he held positions including District Sales Manager, Business Development / Analyst, and Regional Sales Director. During his tenure, he was honored with numerous awards and accolades.

Scott was a gun enthusiast and at one time, an avid hunter and passed these gifts on to his son. The Creel Ranch was a place that he often brought friends and colleagues to so everyone could enjoy 'ranch life'. He was extremely knowledgeable about all things relating to firearms and was often friends 'go-to' when a question arose about the trade. Being a people-person, you would rarely find Scott without a smile or a joke (that may or may not have been appropriate). Scott's contagious laughter and giggle would make others smile as he loved to talk about funny memories from the past. Friends and family would describe Scott as loyal, kind, dedicated, grateful, outgoing, and had a vast knowledge of random trivia/facts.

In 1998, he married Jill Johnson who was the light and love of his life and together they had two beautiful children to complete their family. His love for his wife and children was insurmountable. Scott was tremendously proud of everything Connor and Lindsay did and supported them through their high school years at basketball games and band performances. He was so proud of the young adults his kids had become and of all their accomplishments. He looked forward to seeing them graduate from TX State University and TCU. As empty-nesters, Scott and Jill spent every weekend doing fun adventures including going to concerts from artists in the past, trying new and fun activities nearby, and spending time with friends and family.

Scott leaves behind many people who dearly loved him and will miss him terribly. He is survived by his devoted wife of 26 years, Jill; children, Connor and Lindsay; mother, Kathy Creel (Reno); father, Keith Byrom; sister, Laurissa Creel Dennis (Nick); nieces, Reagan and Kelly; and numerous cousins, cherished friends, and past colleagues. He was preceded in death by his Dad, Doyle Creel, and maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Joyce Loehman.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Scott's honor to the charity of one's choice. In true Scott fashion and in keeping with what he would have wanted, those wishing to contribute to the RNC or NRA would be welcomed.

A memorial service is planned for Friday, March 7, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Club at Garden Ridge (21320 Water Wood Drive; 78266) with a reception following at the same location until 5:00 PM.
