Sean Richard Banks was born on September 23, 1965 in Port Angeles, WA.  He passed from this life unexpectedly on June 21, 2026 in New Braunfels, Texas at the age of 60.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry & Geraldine (Zeeb) Banks; and brother William Henry Banks.

Sean is survived by his loving wife, Tracy Ellen (Griffiths) Banks of New Braunfels; sons, Jon J.S. Banks, Jaden M. Banks, Duncan B. Banks, step-son, Alexander D. Broxton (Kayla); daughters, Aurora N. Banks & step-daughters, Camilla Badura, Tara Morehouse (Eric), Jena Morehouse (Matt); brother, Gary Banks; sister, Vicky (Wendy) and grandchildren, as well as his cousin Melody Essex. The family also sends condolences to other family members not noted here.

Sean served from 1983 to 1990 in the U.S. Army achieving a rank of E-5 as an Army Ranger, living stateside, as well as in Germany. Sean loved flying and received a Bachelor of Science degree in the field of Aeronautical Sciences from Billings Rocky Mountain College in 2009.  Sean moved with his family to Colorado in 2010 and ultimately transitioned into the IT field.  He worked for the Dept of Veteran's Affairs from 2016 until his death.

Sean had recently lost his service dog Neala and her uncle, Odin.  His love for animals was evident to all.  Sean also loved Space X and anything to do with rockets and space exploration. He truly admired and followed the accomplishments being conducted in this field of limitless possibilities being made and yet to come.

A Private Family Graveside Service, with military honors, will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.  A Reception will be held at 4:00 PM at Milano Italian Grill, 19239 Stone Oak Parkway, San Antonio, Texas 78258 on Saturday, August 8, 2026, for those who wish to come share and pay respects to those who knew him.
