Shannon Dean Borum was born on August 9, 1966, in Montebello, California, to Steen and Kris (Cook) Borum. He passed away on September 28, 2025, in Comal County, Texas, following a motorcycle accident.

Shannon spent much of his life in the Canyon Lake area, where he worked as a river guide on the Guadalupe River and in the security field. He had a deep love for motorcycles, both riding and repairing them, and was known for his dedication to caring for his mother, Kris.

He is preceded in death by his father, Steen Borum, and his stepsister, Gail.

Shannon is survived by his son, Justin Von Goldberg; his mother, Kris Borum; his sister, Doreen; his stepmother, Luciele Borum; and his step-siblings Lucie, Joyce, Taralee, Gillian, Paul, Michael, Jake, and Sandra. He is also survived by his uncle Ron Cook, aunts Sharon MacInnes and Michele Cook, and his seven beloved grandchildren: Keira, Megan, Alayna, Octavia, Lexan, Zarah, and Maverick Von Goldberg.

Shannon will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his love of family, and his kindness toward those around him.
