Shawn R.
Hickman
Jul 26, 1974 — May 9, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Shawn Hickman.
Shawn Rayburn Hickman was born on July 26, 1974, in San Antonio, TX to Rayburn Hickman and Carla Wyss Hickman. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1992.
His greatest pride and joy in life was being a father to his two daughters, Lauren and Delaney. Shawn's devotion to his girls was unwavering.
Shawn had a love for Houston, TX where he lived while attending University of Houston with a dual major in chemistry and chemical engineering. He loved numbers and chemistry. He abandoned his studies when the entrepreneurial bug bit him and he realized he could be financially successful with his HVAC service which was his passion.
Shawn returned to San Antonio and founded Southern Comfort A/C Services, Inc. He took pride in providing exceptional professional service at an outstanding value. Keeping his clients comfortable at an affordable price was always his goal.
Shawn enjoyed basking in the sun and the Bible. He carried with him a strong work ethic, kindness, and humor. His happiest moments were times spent with family sharing a meal. He was an impressive cook and could always be counted on to know the best places to find a great meal. Breaking bread with Shawn is a treasured memory.
Preceded in death by grandparents and other beloved family members.
Shawn is survived by his daughters; parents; sisters Linda Godoy (Rich) and Heather Hickman; three nieces; and a large extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice https://www.hopehospice.net/donate or Volunteers in Medicine https://nbcm.org/give-for-vim/ in Shawn's memory.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff of Hope Hospice, the Baptist Medical System and Texas Oncology for their compassionate care. Arrangements entrusted to Doeppenschmidt. Online condolences may be shared on this memorial page.
Shawn's legacy lives on in the love he gave, the lessons he taught, and the daughters who will forever carry his light forward. May loving memories bring comfort and peace.
