Terry Williams was born on March 29, 1949, in Tampa, Florida, to Harold and Vivian Irene (Bell) Williams. He passed away peacefully in Canyon Lake, Texas, on May 13, 2026.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jerry Diamond.

He is survived by his wife and lifelong partner, Catherine ("Cathy") Williams; his son, Tyler Williams, and Tyler's daughters, Charli Rae and Kyle Mae; and his daughter, Chelsea Rose, her partner LeKendrick, and their sons, Ashton Xavier, Juneau Ray, and Cru Daniel, and his older brother, Larry Paul Williams and family. Also left to cherish his memory are his in-laws, Alfred and Karen Mueller, Stephen and Debbie Mueller, Larry and Kathy Mueller, Peggy Saindon, Carrie and Phil Saindon, and Nancy and Jeff Tegge

Terry graduated from Chamberlain High School in Tampa, Florida, and went on to earn a football scholarship to New Mexico State University. He was especially proud of his time as a tight end and his athletic accomplishments. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Terry was an avid fan of the Florida Gators and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He proudly served in the United States Army as a Harbor craft Operator for five years. During his service, he received the National Defense Service Medal, Sharpshooter Badge (M-14 rifle), and Expert Badge (M-16 rifle). One of his favorite stories to share was winning an Army boxing match.

Following his military service, Terry worked on the North Slope of Alaska in production facilities before beginning a 20-year career with FedEx, working in both Alaska and Texas. After retirement, Terry and Cathy built their home in Canyon Lake, Texas, where they enjoyed their years together.

Terry loved Jesus and found daily comfort in reading his Bible. He was a devoted father and grandfather who loved his family deeply. His greatest passion was fishing, which brought him joy throughout his life—from Florida to Alaska to Texas. He shared this passion of fishing with many, including his son Tyler, daughter Chelsea, grandson Ashton, and granddaughters Charli and Kyle along with his best friend Preston Harman, and his brothers-in-laws Alfred, Stephen, Larry Mueller, Phil Saindon, and Jeff Tegge. Terry hoped all his grandchildren would learn to fish and discover the peace and happiness it brought him. Terry will be remembered for his strength, his faith, his love of family, and the many stories he shared that will live on in all who knew him.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Thomas Catholic Church 180 St. Thomas Dr, Canyon Lake, Texas 78133, on Wednesday 05-20-2026 at 11:00 am, followed by a celebration fellowship in the church fellowship hall.
