Thomas Patrick Bresenhan, 76, passed away on December 25, 2024, at his home in Canyon Lake, Texas. Born on April 2, 1948, Thomas dedicated many years to public service, having retired from the Houston Police department in 1997 after a distinguished career that began with his graduation from the Houston Police Academy in 1968.

Thomas was a man of many passions, including fishing, camping, and hunting. He also took great pride in hand-building his home in Canyon Lake, where he enjoyed spending time in the natural beauty of the area. He also enjoyed riding trails  in his side by side.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jo Ellen Bresenhan; daughter Sheri Mendoza and husband Robert Mendoza, daughter Sandra Price, daughter by love Debbie Gray and husband Kent; grandchildren Zachary Mendoza, Jordan Bresenhan, Taylor Bresenhan, and Christine Price; great granddaughter Everleigh Bresenhan. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Frank Bresenhan, his sister Michelle Cooling, and his son Weldon Ray Bresenhan.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the 100 Club, an organization dedicated to supporting the families of first responders. Thomas's legacy of service and his love for his family and community will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
