Thomas Mabry Myers was born to William Myers and Eva Hall Myers on July 9, 1942, in Woodsboro, Texas. He went home to be with the Lord and old friends on July 16, 2024, in New Braunfels, Texas.

Tom graduated from Refugio high school and attended college at Southwest Texas State University obtaining a bachelor's degree in education. During his time in college, Tom met his future wife, Judy Karbach, and they were married on July 9, 1966. Tom taught school in Taft, Texas for two years then moved to San Antonio to work as an Industrial Engineer at Mossier Steel.  In 1968, he and Judy moved back to her hometown of New Braunfels to live on the family's ranch. He changed professions and began his career in sales working for several companies involved in metal fabrication and the oilfield industry.

Tom was a loving family man. He also loved the numerous dogs he and Judy raised over the years, being especially fond of Cocker Spaniels. He enjoyed spending time riding around the ranch with his Cocker Spaniel Scooter watching the various animals that shared his home. Tom and Judy enjoyed spending time with friends regularly sharing meals, playing cards, or attending local events.

Tom was an avid fisherman and hunter enjoying the wildlife on the ranch and fishing along the South Texas coast. Tom enjoyed reading books about hunting adventures from all over the world but was enthralled with books on Texas history. He was particularly keen on recounting stories that took place in the Texas coastal plain area where he grew up and several historical stories that were connected to him and Judy's family.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Edgar Myers and W.A. Myers, and a sister Lorraine Myers McCoy.

He is survived by his wife Judy, daughter Melissa Wilson and husband Craig of New Braunfels; grandchildren Andrew and Sierra Wilson of Bristol, Texas; numerous nephews, nieces, and their children; and his beloved dog Scooter.

A memorial celebration of life will be held at First United Methodist Church in New Braunfels, Texas on July 27, 2024, at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Sophienburg Museum in New Braunfels, Texas or the First United Methodist Church.
