Towana Doherty, born on December 10, 1946, in Lubbock, Texas passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026, after a courageous battle with illness. A beloved daughter of Pauline Sutton, Towana was a vibrant spirit known for her love of coloring portraits of beautiful women, a testament to her appreciation for beauty and creativity.

Towana was preceded in death by her cherished children, Tracy Bontke and Tamatha Bontke. She leaves behind a family who adored her, including her devoted daughter, Tina Rodriguez, and her husband, Eddie Rodriguez; daughter Teffannie Bailey and her husband, Ronald Bailey. Her Legacy of love extends to her grandchildren: Thomas Melendez, Trisha Farrell and her husband, John Farrell, Tezerae Herbert, and Edward Herbert. Towana was also blessed with great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy: Timothy Melendez, Theodore Herbert, and Sevyn Herbert.

Towana's warmth, kindness, and artistic spirit touched all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever cherish their time with this beautiful soul.
