On November 11th, 2023, our daughter, Victoria Slove, passed onto the Lord our God.  Victoria was a wonderful person, who loved life and cared for her two young daughters more than life itself.  She inspired all of us with her singular focus to do something better, even in the face of adversity and was friendly to all who knew her. She encouraged her children to love one another and left an indelible mark on their lives, as well as the lives of her family and friends. Victoria was born in New Braunfels and lived all her life here in the Canyon Lake area, attending elementary, middle, and high schools in the local area before attending the University of North Texas in Denton.

Victoria enjoyed life and often tubed on the river, went to local music events, spent time with her family and enjoyed relaxing with nature. She went out of her way to make things brighter for those around her. She was selfless in her daily actions and trusted in the potential good in everyone.  Hard working and dependable, Victoria would go the distance for a friend in need and it was not uncommon for her to travel to different cities to help when called. Victoria was the daughter of William Slove and Fatima Slove of Canyon Lake, and the sister to an older brother, William Slove III and (Corrine Slove) of New Braunfels, and a younger sister, Desiree Slove Hunt and (Alex Hunt) of the Sequin area, and the godmother to their son, Oliver. She was an aunt to many nieces and nephews and the granddaughter of William and Carol Alexander of Colorado.

Active in sports and an accomplished artist, Victoria enjoyed arts and crafts with her daughters and showed them how to throw and catch a ball, swim, a pastime all three enjoyed immensely, and took a surprising interest in vehicle mechanics. She was a gal who could change a tire and check the oil and didn't wait for anyone to do this if she could do it herself. She was a self-starter and was looking to take life in a more positive direction before the tragic theft of her own life.

Victoria was a dependable friend to many here at the lake and was taken from this world much too soon and we all grieve now but know that someone so special will never be forgotten.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM (followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 AM) on Friday, November 17, 2023 at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home, 1071 FM 2673 Sattler/Canyon Lake, Texas 78133.  Interment will follow at Mountain Valley Cemetery.

The family has asked that donations be contributed to the New Braunfels Women's crisis center.
