Walter Reno Mueller was born to Rudolph & Helga (Foerster) Mueller on July 18, 1932 in Guadalupe County, Texas.  He passed in his sleep from this life on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 just 3 days shy of his 94th birthday.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helga (Foerster) Mueller, his wife, Dorothy Janet Mueller in April of 2020, his mother-in-law & father-in-law, Robin & Lonie Eickenroht, and his grandparents.

He is survived by his daughters, Lisa (John) Stalter and Tina (Blake) Triesch; seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Greg)Kohls, Katy (Jim) Rees, Robyn (Charles) Henry, Ben Triesch, Laura Stalter, Mindy Stalter, and Nick (Brooke) Stalter; and three great-grandchildren, Katelyn Kohls, Jake Kohls and William Stalter.

Walter graduated from New Braunfels High School and enlisted in the Navy after school and then was in the Naval Reserve for many years.  He also worked for the US Post Office after the Navy until retiring in 1987.  He enjoyed going on field trips, to band contests, sports events, or taking lunches to the grandkids.

The family would like to thank the staff from Circle of Life Hospice and Sunset at Bighorn personal care home, his home for the past 10 months, and their caretakers.
