Wayne F. Reeh passed from this life on July 23, 2024.  He was born to Raymond M. Reeh and Myrtle Nowotny Reeh on July 18, 1944, in New Braunfels, Texas, while his father was serving in the Pacific War with the U.S. Army during World War II.  His father served in Gen. Douglas MacArthur's headquarters; Wayne was one and a half years old before his father returned after the war was over. Wayne graduated from Canyon High School in 1962.

During the Vietnam War, Wayne proudly served four years in the United States Air Force, with three years in Montana where he helped maintain the numerous nuclear missile sites in Montana often working over seventy hours a week.

On October 28, 1967, he married his wife of over fifty-six years, Adelheid Schaefer, while on leave from Chanute AFB, Illinois.

After being discharged from the Air Force, Wayne completed his college education at what is now Texas State. After college, Wayne worked for Eastman Kodak Company for ten years doing maintenance on microfilming equipment in many area banks around Texas and photo equipment in large photo labs.

After working for Kodak, Wayne wanted his own photo business, so he opened Landa Foto in New Braunfels, which was the first one-hour photo lab in town. After almost twenty years in business, he sold the business and retired in 1998.

While working full-time jobs, Wayne worked evenings and weekends to build his own house in 1975 and 1976 in New Braunfels. He was in the process of building his and his wife's new dream home when he passed.

For many years Wayne also enjoyed teaching weekly Bible classes in Austin and San Antonio to bring people to the blessings of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Wayne is survived by his wife Adelheid, his sister Carol Ann Chapman, his niece Keri Sourdot, and his grand nephews Luke and Boston Sourdot of Denton and numerous friends.

Wayne was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Myrtle Reeh and his niece, Stacey Chapman.

He will be missed by friends and family and remembered for his love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Graveside Services & Interment, with military honors, will be held at 1:15 PM on August 20, 2024

at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas
