Chief William Reed Taylor, 69, passed away on July 22,2024, peacefully in his home in Canyon Lake, Texas.
William was born in Great Lakes, Illinois to Frances and Patsy Taylor on November 25, 1955. He was a veteran and served in the Air Force for 30 years and was awarded Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, Joint Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Air Force Organizational Excellence Award, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal, Kosovo Campaign Medal, NATO medal for service, Air Force Overseas Long Medal, Air Force Overseas Short Medal, Air Force Expeditionary Medal, Air Force Longevity Medal, US Air Force NCO Prep Medal, Air Force Training Medal. He was always playing Big Ball Baseball, throwing horseshoes, and remodeling something that never turned out as easy as he thought it would be, but loved helping, being around his friends and hanging gatherings at his house. William is preceded in death by his parents Frances and Patsy Taylor, His sister Irene Walsh, His son Thomas Taylor.
William is survived by his wife Terie Taylor, his Daughter Tonie Taylor Grindle and son in law William Grindle, his brothers Fredrick Taylor and Thomas Taylor, his grandchildren Garrett Scott, Adilynn Taylor and Aiden and Kennedy Grindle, his brothers Fredrick and Thomas Taylor
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:30 PM - 5:00 PM on October 12, 2024, at the VFW in Sattler, Texas.
