Obituary

Mrs. Wyvonne Cartwright Pantermuehl, 82, of Pensacola, Florida, made her heavenly journey

surrounded by her loved ones on January 15, 2022. Wyvonne was born on October 11, 1939, to

Milton and Cora Lee Cartwright. She was the oldest of nine children. At 16, at an ice cream

parlor with her church group, her heart was captured by a handsome Texas cowboy Air Force

Staff Sergeant. She knew that night she wanted to marry that Texan! Within the year she had

married Harvey Jean Pantermuehl of Sattler, Texas, in July 1956 and moved to the Texas Hill

Country.

Together, they raised 4 children on the family ranch. Once the children had started school, she

completed her GED then began her LVN training. Once licensed as an LVN she worked at

McKenna Memorial Hospital in the maternity ward for about thirty years, including being

present for the delivery of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, before retiring to care

for her beloved husband.

They were married for 45 years before Harvey's passing in 2002.

Wyvonne was an avid reader, and you would always see her with a book nearby. Another love

of hers was Cattle, as she loved watching them on the ranch, and she finally got her Longhorn

to sit and admire.

She's lovingly remembered by her four children Wade Pantermuehl and his wife Cheryl, Sandra

Watkins and her husband Eric, Sally Johnston and her husband Mike, and Linda Pantermuehl.

Proud Grandmother to Wendy Watkins and Nick Moxley, Stephanie Pantermuehl and TJ

Swalley, Wade Pantermuehl and wife Britney, Jared Johnston (deceased), Jacob Johnston and

wife Molly, Justin Johnston and wife Brigette, Kenneth Strong and wife Gaby, and Harvey

Strong. She had seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
