Bruce Odell Woodall, Sr., 93, peacefully passed away on February 28, 2026 in Schertz, Texas after a short illness.  He was born in Kingsville, Texas on September 23, 1932, to Bell and Thelma (Bailey) Woodall.

The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the Staff at The Silver Tree Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Heart2Heart Hospice and the Staff at The Legacy at Forest Ridge, Schertz, Texas for the care they showed to our dad in these last years and moments of his life.

Bruce graduated from high school in Kingsville.  After high school, he went to work for Celanese where he worked for close to 20 years.  After his career at Celanese, he was a Farmers Insurance agent for 30 plus years in Corpus Christi, Texas.  He was an avid golfer who loved to play in tournaments with his wife Ruby and son Bruce.  He was a member of the Loner's RV Travel Club out of Bandera for many years and loved the monthly camping trips and fellowship with other members. He also enjoyed being a member of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in Bandera, TX.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Bell Bailey Woodall, wife Ruby Inez Woodall, son, Bruce Woodall, Jr. and longtime partner Ethel Fitzgerald.

He is survived by his three daughters and sons-in-laws, Marlene Greene Melde and husband Lee, Debbie Woodall Krause and husband Walt, and Carrie (Candy) Lee Woodall Atkinson and husband Tommy will miss him greatly.  They have many fond memories of life with their daddy.

These memories will keep them comforted in the upcoming days.

Thank you for being our father. We love you, we miss you, and we will continue to make you proud. Rest in peace, dear Dad.

He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and numerous loved ones.

Interment of Bruce's ashes will be held at Seaside Memorial Park, Corpus Christi, Texas for the immediate family at a date to be determined.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Tunnel to Towers, or the charity of choice in his honor.
