Patsy Frew, born on March 2, 1932 in New Braunfels, Texas, and, for the past 24 years a resident of San Antonio, went to be with Our Lord on August 30, 2017.
Patsy was a loving mother and provider. She and her first husband, Leroy Schlueter, while residing in New Braunfels and San Marcos, had four wonderful daughters, Tina, Dede, Kathy, and Patty. During that period, she worked for Federal District Judge Jack Roberts, who was based in Austin. Judge Roberts referred to her as "Ursula" and her colleagues in the legal community called her "Judge Patsy".
On September 29, 1979, she married Johnie B. Frew. The couple later relocated to the St. Louis, Missouri area. While there, Patsy worked at U.S. District Clerks offices in St. Louis and Alton, Illinois. In 1993, she and Johnie moved back to her beloved Texas, settling in San Antonio. Patsy was an avid gardener and could spend all day "pulling weeds" in her gardens. She loved her "Aggies", was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and hosting holiday events.
She is survived by husband, Johnie B. Frew, with whom she shared 38 wonderful years, and also by daughter Tina and husband Royce Holmes, daughter Dede Wyatt, daughter Kathy and husband Rick Goeld, daughter Patty Hall, Doug and Heather Frew, and Kelly (Frew) and husband Jeremy Van Pelt. Patsy had 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.
