Obituary

Lorin Monroe Brehmer was born to Norman and Sylvia (Doehne) Brehmer on December 23, 1956, in New Braunfels, Texas. He passed peacefully on February 21, 2026, at the family's ranch.

Lorin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed helping the community with farming, ranching, and agriculture. Lorin retired from the Highway Department (Texas Department of Transportation) after 30 loyal years of service to the community.

He was a member of Hermann Sons Lodge since 1958, also the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was a lifelong member of Producer's Co-op, as well as Mission Valley Bowling Club.

Lorin loved being in the outdoors – hunting, fishing, making sausage and jelly with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Karen (Krause) Brehmer; daughter, Nataly Harris (& husband, Jason Harris); two granddaughter, Nevaeh Harris and Kimber Harris; one brother, Weldon Brehmer (deceased), who with wife, Joyce Ann Brehmer had two children, Jason Brehmer and Tammy Brehmer and he had numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 27, 2026, with a procession will follow to Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park for burial. Services are officiated by Rev. Andrew Keuer, Senior Minister of First Protestant Church.
