Patricia Darlene Alvarez passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026 at her home in Spring Branch Texas with her husband Walter Johnson by her side.

Born in San Antonio Texas to the late Armand Alvarez and Loretta Alvarez. Devoted wife, daughter, sister and friend.

She attended St Mary Magdelen Catholic Scool, Hobby Middle School and was part of the first graduating class of Thomas C Clark High School in May 1980.

During the early years of her career she worked at Adelante Restaurant and eventually started her own catering business.

She met her husband Walter Alvin Johnson through her brother in law. They later married June 2001 in Boerne,  Texas.

Patricia loved cooking, making jewelry,  taking care of her nieces and nephews, traveling and was into the Native American culture. Patricia loved Spanish Acoustic guitar music.

She was preceded in death by her father Armand Alvarez, survived by her mother, Loretta Alvarez, her sister's, Anna McCoy (spouse Thomas McCoy), Dorothy Esquivel  (spouse Louis Esquivel), Lorraine Garcia, Caroline Gisler, nephew John Runnels Jr. (Spouse Roxie Runnels), niece Savanna McDonald (spouse Micah McDonald), nephews Joshua McCoy,  Dillon McCoy and Isaiah Esquivel.  Grand nephews and niece, Everett,  Ella and Ander McDonald.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on February 20th, at St Matthew's Catholic Church at 10703 Wurzbach Rd. San Antonio,  TX 78230. Reception to follow at 3pm at St Matthew's Parish Hall.
