Preston Ray Maynard, 75, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, December 18, 2025, in Bulverde, Texas.

Ray was born on December 16, 1950, in New Braunfels, Texas to Wilmer and Allie Maynard.  He lived in New Braunfels and Comal County his entire life.  He graduated from Canyon High School in 1969.  Soon after high school he married his high school sweetheart, Beverly Mayer.  They were married December 27, 1970, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in New Braunfels, and were an inspiration to all who knew them throughout their 54 years together. Side by side, he and Beverly built a life most would consider perfect on Beverly's family ranch in Bulverde, Texas.

Ray is survived by his wife, Beverly Maynard.  His children, Jeff and wife Tricia, and Carrie Maynard.  Grandchildren Laney Taylor and husband Camron, Kailyn Maynard, McKenzie Ashley, and Jaxson Maynard.  Nephews Bubba Tisdale and wife Jamie, and Andy Tisdale and wife Carol.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents Wilmer and Allie Maynard, brother Wilmer Glen, sister Judy Tisdale and husband Bill, and niece Connie Sue Tisdale.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Lazy L&L Campground on January 4, 2026, at 12:00 PM.  We plan on having a Visitation/Social Hour from 12 – 1:30 PM, and the Celebration of Life Ceremony will begin at 1:30 PM.  Lazy L&L is located at: 11699 River Rd, New Braunfels, TX 78132.  Escorts of Honor are Bubba Tisdale, Andy Tisdale, Rodney Skolaut, Archie Wohlfahrt, Ronnie Clark, Ronnie Steubing, and David Jahnsen.
